Just
as your class officers and class committee led efforts on
behalf of your class at Latin School, your alumni class
committee continues that leadership role. The Class Agents
that make up your committee are a crucial conduit between
individual classes and the Association.
During
reunion years, we ask the Class Agents to expand to encompass
a larger group of individuals to accommodate the extra activity
that is expected. Past reunion committee and currently inactive
student class officers and class committee members are a
good place to start. Don't forget about those individuals
who have been active participants at BLSA events; they may
enjoy connecting with their classmates on behalf of your
reunion effort.
The
following is a general overview of the function of the Reunion
Committee; each class will have different needs:
-
Act as the voice of their class
- Set and drive efforts to reach class goals, including
reunion attendance, class gift dollars, and class gift
participation
- Actively take part in planning class-specific activities
- Communicate regularly with classmates
- Participate in general BLSA events leading up to
their reunion, encouraging classmate attendance
- Organize class volunteers, as needed
- Make a gift to the BLSA Annual Fund
- Act as hosts during Reunion Weekend
Reunion
Committee members may also choose chairpersons for the following
focus areas:
Reunion Chair
Participation Chair
Class Gift Chair
Directory Chair (50th Reunion only)
