The mission of the Boston Latin School Association (BLSA) is “to preserve and support the mission and excellence of the Boston Latin School; to build and maintain relationships among its alumni and friends; to raise funds for both school and Association activities; and to serve as an effective model of a successful public school-private association partnership.”
One Development position is currently available:
Development Associate:
There is an exciting opportunity to join the staff of the Alumni Association of the Boston Latin School, the nation’s oldest public school, as the organization prepares to launch an ambitious endowment campaign. This position reports to the Vice President of Development and has the following responsibilities: conduct research to identify 500 major gift prospects; prepare research reports and briefings; generate Raiser's Edge reports for management; support the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees; provide administrative support for the VP; help coordinate stewardship mailings; and assist with donor cultivation events.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience,
preferably in the development field;
- excellent organizational skills;
- working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software;
- strong attention to detail;
- good writing skills;
- college degree preferred; and
- experience with development software preferred.
